Cloe Barreto stars in a movie “Silab”

Belladonnas member Cloe Barreto’s big break came true: She finally leads in her own movie “Silab”.

The said movie stars some of the finest actors in Philippine cinema like Jason Abalos, Marco Gomez, Lotlot de Leon, Chanda Romero, Jim Pebanco, Karl Aquino and Quinn Carrillo.

It is also directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Raquel Villavicencio under the 3:16 Media Network.

Cloe is very happy after she found out about this. It took many years waiting for her big break.

“Masaya po, kasi iyong paghihintay nang matagal, eto na po yung resulta. Nagbunga na po, eto na yung bunga.” Cloe explained.

According to Joel Lamangan, Silab will be a very daring movie. Is she ready for this?

“Masasabi ko po na parang… sobrang daring talaga. Kasi actually po, ito talaga yung parang gusto ko, like… eto na po yung parang big break ko talaga,” she said.

Cloe added, “Kaya parang pumasok sa isip ko na, ‘Gagawin ko ang lahat’, ibibigay ko po ang lahat para sa pelikulang ito. Kasi ito na po yung pinakahihintay ko nang matagal na matagal na, eh.”

Many curious on why Cloe changed her screen name. She used to be named Chloe Sy. Some people thought that she’s related to the Barretto sisters, but her surname spelled differently. Why did she change her name?

“Kasi po parang pina-feng shui po, so, sana po maging suwerte nga iyong name na ito.” Cloe said.

Cloe also stars in a movie Anak ng Macho Dancer starring Sean de Guzman, Allan Paule, Jaclyn Jose, Rosanna Roces, Jay Manalo, William Lorenzo, Emilio Garcia, Ricky Gumera, Charles Nathan, David Schion, Miko Pasamonte, Niel Suarez, and many more.

The movie is directed by Joel Lamangan, and produced by Joed Serrano and Grace Ibuna of Godfather Productions.
