THE “P” TALKS!

HIS LIST goes on. And on. Of the projects he’s doing under his Godfather Productions.
Joed Serrano is proud to say that his Joel Lamangan film, “Anak ng Macho Dancer” has wrapped up and before the year ends, will have its premiere at the Big Dome (Araneta Coliseum).
Next that started on its production is his life story. And in line are “Mga Batang Tondo”, “Dukot King”, “Matinee Idol”, “Huling Sayaw ng Burlesk Queen”, “Monay”.
After Ricky Gumera’s talked about launch in a poolside, Joed had his first talent in Godfather Productions’, Charles Nathan have his chance to be interviewed up close by Joed’s media friends.
“Excited lang ako to tell everyone na I have closed a deal, with the Superstar to have a project sa Godfather Productions. Through Direk Adolf Alix, we came up with a story na babagay kay Mama Guy, which she has not done in any of her films sa tagal na niya rito sa industriya. Being a kontrabida. Lagi siyang bida, eh. So, ‘yun ang magiging titulo ng pelikula. At dyan ko naman ilalagay si Charles.”
Charles, who said that he was speechless when he met the Superstar.
“Indescribable po ‘yung moment. Ang hirap ipaliwanag. Superstar! At makaka-eksena ko pa sa movie. Kaya, very thankful ako talaga for this opportunity.”
Charles’ dream of becoming an actor stemmed from his likes in watching shows on television in his younger years.
“Idol ko si John Lloyd Cruz. Pinapanood ko na siya sa “Tabing-Ilog”. Kaya nung makuha ako for “Anak ng Macho Dancer”, kahit wala pa namannakongnacting experience dahil more on VTRs for commercials ang nagawa ko before, binigyan ako ni Sir Joed (Serrano) ng chance to have a one-on-one acting workshop with best actress Ruby Ruiz. On the set ko naman na pinagaralan ‘yung sayaw ng macho dancer sa mga kasama ko. Kaya ngayon na sinabi sa akin na may next na akong gagawin sa “Kontrabida”, all the more na kinabahan ako. Pero that poses a great challenge for me.”
Charles enjoys doing some TikTok moves in social media.
“Nakakuha lang din ng atensyon. Kaya napansin. Thanks to Mama Meg (Perez). And with all these ang pinasasalamatannko ay ang support of my parents.”
Charles’ family is what can be described as well-off. The reason, he opted for a “negosyo” package from Godfather Joed, instead of purchasing a house and lot.
“Restaurant business talaga ang hiniling ko. Kasi, gusto ko ring pasukin ang business na ito so that, kung hindi maging busy in my career in showbiz, there is something pa rin na I can do o ituloy lang na gawin. Kaya, dream come true rin ang gift na ito sa akin ni “Ninong”.
Talks had it that he caught the eye of producer Joed and was charmed by his good looks. But, Joed is already committed.
“Nasabi nga niya ‘yun na kung wala pa siyang “Pulis” or kung wala pa siya in a relationship, baka ako raw ‘yung nasa buhay niya now. Flattered naman po. Pero syempre, nandun pa rin ang respeto sa kasama niya now sa buhay. Ibig sabihin lang noon, iba ang mga plano ng buhay para sa amin.”
Good looks. Check! Add to that, a body has been on developing. Talent! Check! No girlfriend. Focus on career first. Check! That big chance and great opportunity to share the big screen with the one and the only Superstar. Check na check!
Walang kokontra! Walang magkokontrabida!
