THE “P” TALKS!
BY: Pilar Mateo
EVER HEARD of Pranic Healing?
Google had this to say.
“Pranic Healing is an energy “no-touch” healing system based on the fundamental principle that the body has the innate ability to heal itself.
“Pranic Healing utilizes “life force,” “energy,” or prana to accelerate the body’s inborn ability to heal itself.
“It is practiced by hundreds of thousands across the world.
“Thousands of so-called miraculous healing stories have been documented with the use of Pranic Healing, including the full spectrum of physical and psychological conditions: headaches, flu, ulcers, back pain, asthma, migraines, mental illness, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and much more.
“GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui, modern founder of Pranic Healing®, developed Pranic Healing over a 20 year period using experimentation and evidence-based research. He formulated an easy-to-learn system which has shown to have immediate positive results contributing to better health, quality-of-life and wellbeing. There are currently over 100 Pranic Healing centers across the globe. Pranic Healing combined with medical treatments continues to help millions globally. It is not intended to replace conventional medicine, but rather to complement it.”
AND THE term came from the mouth of actor John Arcilla.
He will portray the character of the Healing Priest Fernando Suarez in his biopic in the MMFF2020 (Metro Manila Film Festival).
“Hindi ko naman siya ginaya per se. Niyakap ko lang the energy I got from him when I had that one chance to meet and talk to him before he passed away.
“And that time, hindi ko pa alam the controversies and issues being attached to him. Kaya nung magmi-meet na with him, at nalaman ko na may mga ganun pala, I was already thinking of an alibi to say na baka hindi ko na magawa ang project.
“Pagdating niya, ordinaryo’ng tao lang ang kaharap ko. Very positive. Nagkukuwento lang siya about his life. Na hindi delving on the defensive. And I saw the honesty. At saka ko in-embrace.
“Ang inisip ko naman that time, I just didn’t want to be a mouthpiece about whatever it was na ini-issue sa kanya. When I saw the honesty, pagiging totoo’ng-totoo, saka ko in-embrace.
“And after a week naman, at saka bumaba ang Order from the Vatican. Na vindicated siya. Sa mga ibinintang sa kanya. From then on, madalas na kaming magkausap over the phone. The next moment ko pala siya makikita was in a coffin na.
“Niyakap ko lang ang energy niya. As I see it, napaka-symbolic ng nangyari sa kanya. He was playing tennis. Ang sport na bale exercise niya. February 4. Tumumba siya. Kaka-kwento pa lang niya na he was vindicated. And that fatal incident happened three days before his birthday. Kaya kung titingnan mo, parag he rose again. Ako naman, inisip ko ang pagiging part of his journey. And I am thankful.
“I became aware of Fr. Suarez noon pa, kasi ang mga kapatid ko, dumadalo na sa mga Healing Masses niya.
“There was a time naman na muntik akong maging Pari. Dahil naging Seminarian din ako. And I became aware of Pranic Healing. From the Sanskrit word Prana, meaning energy. Life force. Nabasa ko. Nag-seminar and training ako.”
Indeed, God has a way of putting things into perspective, even before we become aware of it.
“If there’s one thing this pandemic has made me realize, ‘yun eh ang mas maging introspective. To look into ourselves.
“Sa family namin, usually ang reunion o get-together, para ring hindi buo kasi, madalas laging may issues ang isa o dalawa. Kaya hindi nabubuo. Laging may iiwas. Kasi baka mag-away lang. That was last year. From the apo to pinaka-Lola. In Palawan. 75 kami. Wala’ng dramahan at awayan na nangyari. Kaya when the pandemic hit us, now mas aware na kami sa kahalagahan ng pamilya.
“Kaya ang prayer eh, sana matapos na ang CoVid.”
John will be the channel to show The Healing Priest’s biopic, his life and times the instances when people were able to walk, get healed, see and more. All documented.
All part of a grand, God-planned journey.
During the “tsikahan” with him, a colleague who’s been suffering so much pain in her arm up to her shoulder related her ordeal to John. That’s where he mentioned Pranic Healing.
All we know after that energy flowing touch in our colleague’s arm, she went home with a smile.
Truly, whether we believe in miracles or not, the possible in the impossible will be strengthened by the faith of everyone who made this film possible.
I was able to attend one of Father Suarez’ Healing Mass and Recollection in his Church and Retreat House in Butong, Batangas. It was truly a blessing. Where I also saw the most beautiful sunset in that part of Batangas.
The movie will be seen in upstream.ph. An apt time to see it with the whole family. This Christmas time!
Be blessed! (30)
