Sean De Guzman on his first lead role in “Anak ng Macho Dancer”

SHOCKED and ecstatic when Sean De Guzman found out he got the lead role in the movie “Anak ng Macho Dancer”. The said movie is the sequel to Lino Brocka’s 80’s masterpiece “Macho Dancer”.

He recalled what happened and this is what Sean said: “Chinat ko siya. Sabi ko, “Nay, good news. Sa sobrang tuwa niya, nag-video call siya. Teary-eyed siya. Sobrang tuwa po ni Nanay”.

After he got the role, he watched Macho Dancer and he realized how great this controversial movie is.

“Pinanood ko siya. Sobrang ganda po pala talaga nu’n. Kaya pala pinag-usapan dati.

Pawisan sila, tapos naghahalikan. Sabi ko, may ganu’n pala. Nakakakilabot po, actually.” Sean said.

He teased the media if there will be frontal nudity in his movie.

Sean replied.

Joel Lamangan is the director of Anak ng Macho Dancer, and Sean tells his experience with him as a very strict director.

Sean explained.

Allan Paule, who played Pol in the original movie, plays the role as dad of Sean’s character. In his first meeting with Sean, Allan told Sean that he looks like him when he was young.

“[Ang payo niya sa akin] ‘Just Be Yourself. Sean said.

Sean thanked people who’s supporting him especially his manager Len Carrillo and his family.

Sean explained.

“Anak ng Macho Dancer” will release next year. The movie is produced by Joed Serrano and Grace Ibuna of God Father Productions.
