THE partners and producers in the newest musical full length movie, helmed by Director Joven Tan were very ecstatic at the turn of their premiere night held in SM Megamall nights ago.
“Damaso” will be shown starting on November 20, 2019.
Yet, the producers, Edith Fider and Anicia Regis and their partner investors made a first when their premiere had 6 cinemas (7-12) simultaneously showing it in their Gala Night.
“Parang sabay-sabay na block screenings. Nangyari in one night. Yes, paying audience kasi nga, ‘yung kita will be sent sa mga kapatid nating nasalanta sa Mindanao,” shared Ms. Fider.
At the after-party or get-together with the producer and the stars, we had the chance to chat with the rest of the movies investors.
“We placed our full trust with our partners who happens to be our friends. meron sa amin working sa realty. meron sa Recruitment Agencies. Kaya natutuwa kami sa ilang line in the movie. Dahil may mensahe na gusto’ng ibahagi sa mga manonood. Kaya, nang mapanood namin ito ngayon, natuwa kami. We read the script pero hindi naman kami nakadalaw sa shooting,” said Ms. Nora Reyes.
Ms. Precy Sorongon and Sir Vicente T. Dacquil, are also one in saying that they are happy with the way the movie turned out.
“Natutuwa kami sa huhusay ng ma nagsiganap. May kantahan. Nandun ang lovestory. May aksyon din,” said Sir Vicente.
Ms. Precy is excited for the movie to get shown and be shared to all te people.
“Kasi, ‘yung mensahe. Kilala na ng marami sa atin si Padre Damaso sa Noli Me Tangere. Pero bakit siya ang bida sa pelikula. Maayos na nahabi ni Direk Joven ‘yung istorya ng nakaraan na naidikit sa kasalukuyan.”
Direk Joven has a lot of projects in line after “Damaso”.
Said he, “Syempre, isa-isa lang muna. Dito muna ako focused. Syempre, ang gusto ko eh magkaroon ng magandang balik in terms of kita sa box office ang pelikula. ‘Yan naman ang gusto ng bawat gumagawa ng pelikula. Panoorin at magustuhan ito ng mga manonood.”
Ms. Edith and Ms. Anicia and the rest of the partners in Regis Films are very positive that the movie will gain a good reaction from the moviegoers.
Added Edith, “Marami namang dahilan para hindi kami mapili o mapasali in the coming MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) 2019. Baka hindi ‘yun ‘yung tama’ng time for us. We are happy na nabigyan din kami ng schedule na maipalabas it.”
The “bida” or main man in the movie, Arnell Ignacio came to the premiere donning his habit.
“Natuwa naman ako. Nagtilian ang mga tao. may fans pa pala ako. Hindi ko talaga ini-expect, ha!”
Big names are part of the movie including Aiko Melendez, Nyoy Volante, Marlo Mortel, Vina Morales, Lou Veloso, Richard Quan, Irma Adlawan, Ketchup Eusebio, Ariel Rivera Ejay Falcon, Mon Confiado, Riva Quenery and Jin Macapagal and more.
