THEY ARE IN Busan, South Korea.

Words from David Fabros:

“Happening this week at the Busan International Film Festival and Asian Film Market, in Busan, South Korea is the soft launch of FilmPhilippines, FDCP’s new film location incentive program aimed at encouraging international film productions to shoot and work in the Philippines.

“FilmPhilippines will give financial support to both international productions and co-productions with Filipino producers, who will spend at least 8 million pesos in the Philippines for their film production and post-production.

“FDCP Chair Liza Dino-Seguerra foresees not just a surge in tourism revenues and business investments months after this incentive program is launched, but also heightened artistic and technical exchange between Filipino film workers and the rest of the world’s film professionals. The FilmPhilippines Film Location Incentive Program (FLIP) and the FilmPhilippines International Co-Prod Fund (ICOF) will be introduced to world filmmakers and producers in Busan this year.”

FilmPhilippines Executive Director for FDCP, David Fabros expects inquiries to rush in as early as November this year after the program is promoted, as the new incentives will positively complement the government’s already existing inter-agency one-stop-shop assistance for filmmaking in the country. ON MONDAY (October 7, 2019), your TV screens will once again light up as the most awaited comeback of the Queen of Primetime Teleserye Judy Ann Santos makes a comeback, via “Starla”.

Juday essays the role of Teresa, as a bida-kontrabda.

“I think it’s been a while bago nagkaroon ng primetime series na pambata. It’s refreshing to see a different genre sa teleserye na basically, it’s really for the kids.

“To realize that you know, do not lose hope in wishing, do not lose hope in praying.

“It’s for you to have faith in the people around you, to understand the people around you.

“Sa akin, magugulat lang siguro sila na three hundred sixty-turn talaga yung character ko dito. Hindi na kasi to ‘yung
karakter na api-apihan na naka-daster na ano, na ganyan, mahirap.

“Na-enjoy ko ang character ko here now
Hindi ko naiisip na ganito pala ang gagawin ko but at some point nae-enjoy ko yung pagiging kontrabida. Ang peg nanin nina direk Jerome (Pobocan). Mala-“The Devil Wears Prada”. Masaya din palang mang-api paminsan-minsan,” the actress quipped laughing.

“Starla” is Jana Agoncillo who only had the chancw of seeing Juday at the presscon.

“Hindi pa kami nagkaka-eksena ni Jana. Kasi nga, siya ‘yung star. At sila ni Enzo (Pelojero) ang madalas na magkasama sa ikot ng istorya namin.”
