THE “P” TALKS!

AFTER her stint in her comeback on the big screen, via Viva Films’ Sanggano, Sanggago’t Sangguwapo“, Patricia Javier will not accept any more acting assignments.
The former beauty queen is once again taking her chance in giving it a try as she competes in the coming advocacy-oriented Noble Queen of the Universe Pageant.
“I am representing the Philippines as the reigning Mrs. Universe Philippines Finest Woman. I chose na dito lumaban sa December 1, 2019 na sa Manila Hotel gagawin. Dapat, sa Mrs. Universe ako lalaban in Guangzhou, China pero tatapat kasi siya on December 21, 2019 until January 1, 2020. Hindi ko keri na mawalay sa boys ko.
“Usually, that’s the time we take our vacation. Kasi, we usually spend time with Doc Rob’s (Walcher) family during the Christmas season. Eh, alam mo naman ‘yun, maski ano pa ang dumating na opportunity sa akin whether it has something to do with my career in showbiz, hindi pwedeng mauna ‘yun sa family ko. Kaya nag-beg off ako dun sa pageant in China and chose instead to join itong sa December 1, 2019. Lahat naman mailalagay sa ayos.
“Remember when we launched the Mrs. Universe Finest Woman, marami sa amin ang napili na to compete sa different pageants. Na mga misis ang contestants. Lovely (Gervacio Tan) won her crown in Malaysia months ago. So ngayon, si Charo (Laude) na ang lalaban sa China.”
Months ago, Patricia and the other candidates have shared the advocacies that they support. Hers has something to do with health and wellness. Where her hubby Doc Rob shares in his chiropractic practice.
“Yun ang maganda sa amin ni Doc Rob kasi nagku-complement kami sa mga ginagawa namin. Nasa environmental protection ang itinataguyod kong projects bilang noon pa sumusuporta na ako sa mga projects of the late Gina Lopez. Gusto ko magtuluy-tuloy din ang nasimulan ko na with my cause to protect Mother Nature. Planting trees. Avoiding using plastics and other things that harm our environment.
“When me and my asawa decided to take a vacation here, we didn’t realize na dito na pala niya ipa-practice ang pagka-chiro niya. Nagsimula sa reach out projects namin in some remote areas to introduce what chiropractic is all about. Eh, dumami na ang nagpapa-treat. Talagang pinupuntahan na kami sa bahay. We had to decide. Nagustuhan naman niya ang Pilipinas. And now, ‘yun ang isa pa naming advocacy na may kinalaman naman sa health and wellness. We will be opening the third clinic na in Alabang. In all those, sa Quezon City and Makati, meron na rin siyang mga kasamang licensed chiropractors na galing din sa San Diego, California, USA where he had his clinic before we came here. Like si Dr. Jill Chapman. Na kasali rin sa pageant to represent the USA. Since lagi naman kaming magkasama.
“Ano pa ba ang mabisang way to introduce Chiropractic lalo na sa masa. Kaya, may mga times na binibigyan nina Doc Rob ng free spine alignment ang mga street vendors or ang mga tricycle drivers. Para maging maalwan naman ang pakiramdam nila. Tapos, sa schools, we started this Happy BanApple Day na pinapakain namin ng bananas and apples ang ma estudyante. Dun naman, we gie Doc Rob’s book (“A Guide for Better Health and Wellness”) sa teachers and principals o sa libraries nila.”
Patricia says she wants to inspire women, wives and moms for that matter to also be empowered. Even if all day, most are in the homes doing the house chores, or in the workplace, there is something they can do more for their family and the society.
“My boys totally understand now, kung ano ang mga ginagawa at pinagkakaabalahan ko. Hindi sila nagrereklamo when there are days na I have to be away from them. Because of the preparations I am doing now for the pageant. Ang sinasabi lang nila is for me to just enjoy. I make it a point naman na when vacation time comes, sulit na sulit yun in our bonding.”
Her friends are now waiting to see the walk she will introduce in the pageant.
The Chiro Walk!
An arched back with an S curve that is just so perfect!
An additional crown to fit her head is not too much! Especially if it will make her a Queen of the advocacies she’s been doing and promoting!
