IT’S great to be alive in this era where you can create your own show online and express your thoughts and creativity in front of the camera. Because of online platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram; social media influencers have now access to create their own show that their fans want to watch.
Last Sunday, Easter Sunday, people in the media gathered for JR Estudillo and Solid Rock Entertainment Production‘s pocket press conference.
We talked about JR’s career as a singer and as a host of his online show Usapang Lodi. He started his singing career as a member of a boy band Y-Fi. In 2014, they joined the prestigious World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in the US, and made it to the semi-finals. The year follow, they won the Senior Vocal Group of the World Award.
He’s now a solo artist and he admitted his transition is not easy.
“Yes po. Sobrang nanibago. Lalo na sa stage kasi iba iyung meron kang kasama sa stage, and all of the sudden ikaw lang mag-isa sa stage. Nakakakaba. Medyo nag-adjust na po talaga ako nung nagsimula ako as a soloist.” JR said.
I think his transition works well, especially he can expand his skills as an artist. He’s now planning to attend acting workshops, and working up his talent in hosting. This is probably the reason why Kate Rodriguez, owner of Solid Rock, believed in him and gave him an online show.
You can watch Usapang Lodi every Saturday at 8PM. Aside from this show, you can also watch social media influencer Barbie Cruz live on her show The Barbie Show. If you want fresh news in show business, catch showbiz writer and talent manager Throy Catan on his online show Showbiz News Intrigues on weekdays at 8 PM.
