CURATED MEMORIES is a bridal fair and fashion show with Mama Ganda (as she wants to be called) fashion designer Renee Salud for Bantay Bata 163.
Held at Novotel Manila Araneta Center, the project was launched with Bantay Bata 163’s Program Director Jing Castañeda, Mama Renee and partner Novotel Manila Araneta Center’s General Manager Mike Brown.
Mama Renee’s esteemed high society lady friends will don his Tapestry Collection with the Wedding gowns as finale made from different indigenous materials mostly in pastel colors.
Jing and Mama Renee go a long way.
“Jing’s Mom is my friend. And kami ni Jing madalas we cross our paths noon in ABS-CBN when I was doing the morning show and other guestings. Kaya when this project came, we thought of Bantay Bata 163.
Added Mr. Brown, “As we unveil the new looks of our Wedding Packages entitled “Seasons of Love”, it was apt to also showcase the brilliant minds of young designers here in the Philippines and the much esteemed Mama Renee who is generous enough to partner with Metro Manila’s socialites to extend the proceeds of his creations for Bantay Bata 163.”
It will run from April 27-28, 2019.
In partnership with JMG Infinity events “Curated Memories: A Wedding Story” is a two-day bridal fair that strings together Metro Manila’s top and trusted wedding suppliers, designers at Novotel’s Versailles Event Tent.
The first day will include learning sessions in wedding planning including hair and make-up demonstrations, styling, things to look for in wedding photo and videos and many others. And the 28th is the highlight of the weekend with two elegant fashion shows.
The afternoon matinee will feature the innovation creations of over thirty (30) of the country’s top young fashion designers of Designers Circle Philippines with the gala featuring Mama Renee’s creations.
The proceeds will benefit The construction of the Children’s Village, the halfway house of Bantay Bata 163 children being housed, treated medically and other concerns.
The target for the amount to be given to Bantay Bata 163 is about half a million pesos and more.
“With my very good friends, the elegant ladies of Metro Manila’s High Society, I am pretty sure that this will be a very successful event to look forward to. Hindi ako ang kikita rito. We are doing this to raise funds for Bantay Bata 163. Ang mga manonood or a-attend ang mauuna to see the creations I will bring to Toronto in July and in Italy in October and November this year.
“I know how it is to live in poverty. I had my humble beginnings. We were poor. And this project’s intention is to be able to share that love for these children. Like Dylan, who was brought by his Mom to Bantay Bata 163 when he was just three months old. Look at him now. He needed a congenital heart disease surgery then. Literally buto’t balat. Through the people who donated for Dylan’s surgery through Bantay Bata 163, they were able to raise the funds needed to have Dylan’s surgery. And we know there are good hearted people who will also do the same like what was given to Dylan’s needs then- housing, treatment and the loving and caring that we want to extend to them.”
