LAST week, founder of Philippine Stagers Foundation Atty. Vince Tañada posted on his Facebook page about the last day of the shoot of his new movie, Jesus, starring Ms. Sylvia Sanchez. Based on the looks of his pictures, he looked like he’s having fun working with his fellow co-stars and the rest of the crew.
“Our last shooting day for JESUSA Written and Directed by Ronaldo C. Carballo. It was an honor to act with you Sylvia Sanchez. Watch out for this masterpiece.” He said on his caption.
He also shared a video which showed a one-take scene with Sylvia.
After the Jesusa‘s media launch last Tuesday, January 29, I had a chance to talk to Vince about the movie. “I love working with them. First time ko nakatrabaho si Direk Ronald, and he works very fast and very professional.” He said.
What did he think about working with Sylvia Sanchez? “Sobrang honored to work with her. She knows the lines. She knows what to do in every scene. Ang galing.” He said
Also starring in the movie are Allen Dizon, Empress Schuck, Malu Barry, Beverly Salviejo, Ynez Veneracion, and introducing Uno Santiago. The film is written and directed by Ronald C. Carballo.
Vince Tañada received his training abroad. When he went back to the Philippines from New York, he started his acting stint in CCP under Lou Veloso for the play Hiblang Abo which eventually earned him a nomination in Gawad CCP as Best Actor.
For the past few years, he received many awards and nominations in different award giving bodies, such as Aliw Awards and Broadway World Awards. Most of his notable plays he directed are Joe: A Filipino Rockssical, Cory ng EDSA, Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuela, Filipinas 1941, Obra ni Juan, and his recent masterpiece, #SupremoRedux.
